Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can get a refund for tickets and other purchases from Beyond The Sparks. It applies to all payments made through our website at beyondthesparks.com and forms part of our Terms of Service. By purchasing a ticket you agree to the terms below.

We want you at our events and we want you to feel good about buying a ticket. Our seats are limited and we plan food, venue, and hosting around confirmed guests, so our refund windows are designed to be fair to both you and the other people counting on the event.

2. Ticket Sales & Pricing

All prices are shown in U.S. dollars (USD) and are charged at the time of purchase. Payments are securely processed by Stripe; Beyond The Sparks never sees or stores your full card details. You will receive an emailed receipt from Stripe once your payment is confirmed.

3. Refund Eligibility for Event Tickets

For paid event tickets, refunds are available based on how far in advance you request them before the event start time:

  • 7 or more days before the event: full refund of the ticket price.
  • Between 48 hours and 7 days before: a 50% refund, or the full amount as credit toward a future Beyond The Sparks event — your choice.
  • Less than 48 hours before, or after the event: tickets are non-refundable. You may still transfer your ticket to another eligible guest (see Section 6), and we may offer event credit at our discretion for genuine emergencies.

Refund amounts are calculated on the ticket price you paid. Any discount or promo code applied at checkout is reflected in the amount refunded — you are refunded what you actually paid, not the full face value.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us with your order confirmation email or order number:

  • Email us at lee@beyondthesparks.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and the name and email used at checkout.
  • Or open a refund request from your Beyond The Sparks account dashboard, if you checked out while signed in.

We review every request individually and aim to respond within 2 business days. Once a refund is approved, it is issued to your original payment method through Stripe and typically appears within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

5. Events Cancelled, Postponed, or Rescheduled by Us

Occasionally we may need to cancel, postpone, or reschedule an event due to low enrollment, venue issues, weather, or circumstances beyond our control.

  • If we cancel an event: you will receive a full refund of your ticket price automatically, with no request needed.
  • If we reschedule an event: your ticket is automatically valid for the new date. If the new date does not work for you, you may request a full refund.
6. Ticket Transfers

If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person who meets the event's eligibility criteria (for example, age range and the intended gender balance of the event). Email us at lee@beyondthesparks.com at least 24 hours before the event with the new guest's name and email so we can update the guest list and honor any pre-event matching.

7. No-Shows & Late Arrivals

Because your seat is reserved and matching is prepared in advance, no-shows and tickets for guests who arrive after an event has closed are non-refundable. If something urgent comes up, contact us as early as possible and we will do our best to help.

8. Products & Other Purchases

For any non-ticket products we may offer, digital or downloadable items are non-refundable once access has been delivered, and physical goods follow the specific terms shown at the time of purchase. Where no separate terms are shown, contact us and we will work with you in good faith.

9. Chargebacks & Disputes

If you believe there is a problem with a charge, please contact us first at lee@beyondthesparks.com — we can almost always resolve it faster than a formal dispute. Filing a chargeback for a purchase that falls outside this Refund Policy may result in that ticket being cancelled and future purchases being declined.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to that purchase.
